Lindsay Lohan Tattoos
Lindsay Lohan has grown up in the spotlight. The once child star is now
one of Hollywood’s most popular young ladies. However, her road to
adulthood has surely been a bumpy ride. Through it all, though, Lohan
has struggled to assert her own, unique identity. One of her chosen
methods for expressing herself has been to get tattoos. The star sports
several pieces of body artwork, each selected for their personal
meaning.
Lohan started off small when it comes to tattoos. Her first piece of art
was simply a small black outline of a star on the inside of her forearm.
Next, she opted for a more substantial piece of art. On her lower back,
Lohan chose to have the phrase “La Bella Vita” scripted in flourishing
style. The quote means “Life is Beautiful” in Italian. Lohan chose this
tattoo not only to express her feelings but also to commemorate her
Italian grandfather, who had passed away.
Lohan received her third tattoo on the inside of her right wrist. This
piece of body art is simply the word “Breathe” written in script. The
inspiration for this tattoo allegedly came from a popular John Lennon
quote, “Get out there and get peace, think peace, live peace, and
breathe peace, and you’ll get it as soon as you like.” It is also a
reminder to the star of how precious life truly is. Lohan got the tattoo
after she fell victim to a severe asthma attack.
A fourth tattoo was added to Lohan’s collection on a seemingly spur of
the moment trip to a West Hollywood tattoo parlor. The decision happened
at three in the morning when Lohan had a small white heart inked on her
left hand. This seemingly random choice is located in the space between
her thumb and index finger.
Finally, Lohan added yet another piece to her body art collection last
summer. She and her alleged girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, received
matching tattoos on their left hands. The decision seemed to have come
while the two were visiting Miami, and they returned from the trip with
black heart tattoos.
Lohan loves all of her tattoos and has had no issues with the inking
process. In fact, she even ate ice cream while getting her second piece
done. The star allegedly is interested in becoming a bigger part of the
tattoo world by opening her own tattoo parlor. Her proposed business
would be a great creative endeavor for Lohan, who hopes to cater her
business to other rich celebrities. The star has sponsored a tattoo
photography exhibition. The proceeds from this event are meant to aid
the American Red Cross. |
