Susan Sarandon Tattoo
It is becoming more and more common to see young stars sporting tattoos.
In fact, few people would be surprised to learn that most of Hollywood’s
twenty and thirty year old stars sport some form of body art. However,
it is less common to see a more seasoned celebrity, especially a woman,
sporting tattoos. That’s why many people are stunned to learn that Susan
Sarandon has joined the world of tattooed ladies. In fact, the 61 year
old star actually chose to get inked as a 60th birthday present to
herself.
Sarandon’s most noticeable tattoo is located on her upper back between
her shoulder blades. It is an image of three letters intertwined and
scripted in gothic style. The letters are the first initials of each of
Sarandon’s three children; Eva, Jack, and Miles. This piece of body art
measures some ten inches long, and is clearly visible when the star
struts the red carpet in a low-back gown. The reason for this placement,
according to Sarandon, was to remind her that her children are always
with her even when she cannot see them. The other tattoo Sarandon opted
to get is also tied to her children. On her wrist, the mature actress
had the initials of her first child, Eva Amurii, inked onto her skin.
When asked about her recent decision to get tattoos, Sarandon seemed
thrilled with her decision. The star is proud to be young and heart and
sees no reason why a woman of any age should deny herself body artwork
as a means of self-expression. The star is known for her great acting,
as well as her youthful appearance and marriage to a much younger man.
Sarandon’s only complaint was that the process hurt quite a bit more
than she had expected. Sarandon has even joked that she might go back to
get more body artwork added when she hits 70. |
